PGPMs (Plant Growth Promoting Microorganisms) are soil-specific microorganisms that colonize plant roots, helping to promote their growth and health. These microorganisms can fix atmospheric nitrogen, solubilize nutrients, and produce bioactive compounds that improve soil quality.
We search for ideal PGPMs for each agroecosystem and we reintroduce them by using our bacterchar as a carrier.
At CALIGENIA, we are developing a platform that allows us to predict how to transform degraded soil into a productive one using the best BACTERCHAR and PGPM combination.
Our platform algorithm integrates environmental and geographical data, as well as physical, chemical, and microbiological indicators of degraded and productive soils. Based on this information, the platform identifies productive fields in the same area as the degraded soils and, through multiple comparisons, proposes solutions for each edaphic problem.
